• I had the pleasure speaking with CP
  • On September 20/2000
  • (Eddie):Where did you get your band name from and who came up with it?

(CP):We were "Ascend" in high school, but we decided the name didn't fit anymore. We wanted something that described more of the style we play now.

(Eddie):Tell us a little history of how the band formed?

(CP):I and Jason (drummer) met in our high school spanish class in the great state of Maine. It's funny thinking about it now, Spanish....Maine? I guess we were destined to get this band started. It was as simple as,"I heard you play guitar" and that weekend was the first jam.I met Chris "Notes" (bass) through another guitarist and asked if he wanted to jump in on a session with Jason and me. It was pretty much the three of us for quite some time. The core was complete, it clicked immediately. We had a second guitarists and an obscene amount of vocal auditions, but nobody really fit in. So we loaded up the trucks and head to Beverly.Dustin (vocals) answered an add we had in one of the Los Angeles music zines.Again, another click. It has only been about 9 months since we been a fully formed band (02/00).

(Eddie):Where can we purchase your CD,and how much?

(CP):That is our next project, We start to record this October (2000).We're shooting for a full length, but for now we've got a mini-EP in the works.

(Eddie):What was your most memorable experience making the cd or playing a gig or both?

(CP):Our first gig in L.A., because it was our first gig in L.A. and the house popped.

    (Eddie):What are the bands influences?

(CP):Any kind of music that makes you feel alive!

(Eddie):How would you describe your bands sound?

(CP):Rage, Power, Energy and Emotion; in short SKULL CRUSHING!

(Eddie):If we were to come see you live, what can we expect to see?

(CP):Lots and lots of Twinkie debris!

(Eddie):Who produced the cd and where?

(CP):Will be us, in L.A. (Hollywood), or perhaps elsewhere.

(Eddie):What made you want to become a musician and who if a band or individual?

(CP):I knew I wanted to do something creative yet physical to keep me busy,I hate sitting still!

(Eddie):Any new information for your fans or future fans?

(CP):We're always evolving and pushing ahead. We like to keep people informed of what we are up to. That's why our website is updated weekly. We like to keep it all on the table and feed the rush.
