I had the pleasure speaking with Angela (Drummer) and the band Time Of Need...
On March 5/2001
(Eddie):Where did you get your band name from and who came up with it?
(Band):Time Of Need means and comes from the fact that the world is in a constant state of chaos, everyone and everything is in a time of need in one way or another. Therefore, we are Time of Need. The initial idea of the name "Time of Need" was thought up by Angela, the drummer.
(Eddie):Tell us a little history of how the band formed.
(Band):Time Of Need has been together for four years, within that time the band released two albums, one containing ten songs entitled "War With War" and the other being a four song EP entitled "Control". The band owns its own web site that has received over ten thousand hits within the past year. With an ever-growing fan base and a mailing list made up of seven hundred people, the band's foundation has been set.
"War With War" is the band's first studio effort, recorded in the band's hometown of Center Valley, PA at Signal Sound Studios. "War With War" has sold over four hundred copies and received weekly airplay on the local radio stations. In a two month consecutive period, songs from the album have placed in the top twenty-four most requested songs. "Control" has sold over 500 copies during the first month of its release. The single, "Set Aside", featured on this hard-hitting EP, is currently placing in the top twenty-four most requested songs on two radio stations.
With the replacement of bassist Tom Berghold by Chad Pitcher, the band plans to meet all recorded and live expectations. Practicing three to four times a week and booking shows as they become available on the East Coast proves the band's strong work ethic. There is no lack of effort and the band's attitude does not allow for an easy way out. The band's entire focus is to write and play music with passion.
(Eddie):Where can we purchase your CD,and how much?
(Band):From Our Website you can order both cd's...

(Eddie):Any new information for your fans or future fans?
(Band):Well a lot has happened in the past few weeks with the band, some good and some not so good. To start things off our newly acquired guitarist Kevin Scarbough has left the band due to family trouble. We will once again be looking for a second guitar player, so if anyone is interested please e-mail us. Now for the good news, we are scheduled to go into the studio in March. We are recording at Trax East in New Jersey, the same studio Hatebreed, Snapcase and Turmoil recorded at. We are expecting this to be by far our best studio effort. The band will be keeping things on the low down for the next few months, while we are in the studio and searching for a second guitar player All shows we were scheduled to play have been canceled.
(Eddie):Well Thanks Angela and the band for the most informative interview,I would like to wish you all the best in your future and rock on!!!!
