(EDDIE):How did UNBOUND get started up?

(DOUG):Mike, Eddie, Charlie and I had played in several bands off and on together. Mike Charlie and I had just gone through a breakup of our band as did Eddie.Eddie called me to see if I wanted to work on some original stuff he was working on. In the meantime Charlie was talking to Randy, who had just left his band, about playing together.We all ended up together listening to some of our original stuff from my previous band, and by the end of that day had written and recorded our first Unbound tune "Overdrive". That was 1992, and the rest as they say is history!(haha)

(EDDIE):What is UNBOUND'S main influences?

(DOUG):I think most bands would be lying if they said Led Zeppelin didn't influence them. We're no exception! Bands like Aerosmith, Judas Priest, Rush, Scorpions, Kansas and more recently, Queensryche, Dream Theater, King's X and Damn Yankees had an influence on Unbound.

(EDDIE):How would you classify your sound?

(DOUG): I would call Unbound's music progressive, melodic metal, with some heaviness and commerciality.

(EDDIE):Tell us a little info on your new cd,where we can buy it,where it was produced,who produced it etc..?

(DOUG):The CD was recorded in Middletown, Ohio at Home Recording Studios. It was engineered by the owner Geno Stewart and Eddie. They both also had a large part in producing the CD with a little help from myself and the rest of Unbound. The CD is available at CD Warehouse in Cincinnati, Ohio and on the web at J-Bird Records:

(EDDIE):Have you any plans on touring, if so when and where?

(DOUG): We're playing the Cincy Tri-State area for now but would entertain a worthwhile tour situation.

(EDDIE):Who does the writing of the music and the lyrics?

(DOUG): Mike or Eddie usually come up with the main idea and bring it to the band. We then work together on parts, notes and arrangement as a band to make it "Unbound". I write a majority of the lyrics, then Eddie. Mike has also contributed in this area.

(EDDIE):Where is each member from?

(DOUG):Charlie and Eddie are from Mason, Ohio. Mike and I are from Springdale, Ohio and Randy is from Huber Heights, Ohio.

(EDDIE):For people who never saw UNBOUND live,what should they expect?

(DOUG):100% every time!!!! We like to have fun live and I think it shows. Unbound is definitely a high energy, give it all you've got kind of show!!

(EDDIE):What was the most memorable experience you had making the cd?

(DOUG):Finishing it!!(haha) It was a long drawn out process because of money so finishing it was especially sweet!

(EDDIE):Whats the current status of the band,any new info you would like to add?

(DOUG):Currently Unbound is playing and writing working towards their next CD tenatively titled "The Other Side". We have enough material right now for at least another follow up CD.
