Chatpata Corn


This appetizer is one of my personal favourites. It has to be cooked on a low flame; it is time-consuming, but it is worth the effort.Its yummy & chatpata too. Try it!!!!!!

Ingredients :


5 ears of corn-on-the-cob ( preferably frozen )
3 cups yogurt
1 medium chopped tomato
1 tbsp butter / corn oil
1 tbsp besan
3 whole red chilly
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp amchoor
1/2 tsp red chillie powder
salt to taste
5 curry leaves
a bunch of corriander leaves finely chopped

Method :


1. Heat oil / butter in a pan, add mustard seeds & allow them to splutter.

2. Add whole red chilly, & curry patta.

3. Add besan & keep stirring on a medium flame till you get the aroma.

4. Stir in the yogurt gradually, little at a time.

5. Then add chopped tomato, amchoor, salt, red chillie powder & cover & cook on a low flame till the oil seperates.

6. Finally add the corn & cover & cook on a medium flame for 10 mins & then for 50 mins on a low flame or till the corn is cooked.

7. Garnish with corriander leaves & serve hot.
