Nan



Ingredients :


2 cups plain white flour
1 tsp kalonji (onion seeds)
1/2 cup yogurt
1 egg (opt)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp dried yeast (soaked in water for 1/2 an hour)

Method :


1. Sieve flour. Add salt. Knead with lukewarm water. Set aside for 3-4 hours or till the dough expands to almost doubles in quantity.

2. Divide the dough into 10 equal parts & roll it to the shape of a nan . Sprinkle some kalonji on top of the nan.

3. Place the nan on a baking sheet in a preheated oven at 300 degrees F for 3-4 minutes.
