Wondering about the latest cd???

"The Anthem"

To say the least this cd is awesome. A good followup to Less than Jakes last cd "Borders and Boundries." The remake of "Last Chance" is really good. With new more groovy songs like "The Science of Selling Yourself Short" and awesome more classic Less Than Jake style songs like "Short Fuse Burning" this new cd should be well liked among old school LTJ fans as well as new ones. The bonus cover of Cheap Trick's "Surrender" is also a nice treat. Diffently worth the $14.99 or however much it might be.

"So Long, Astoria"

Its been a long time since the Ataris released a cd. Their last one End is Forever is diffently a great cd. This one is a little different though. It combines a new more melodic style with the more traditional Ataris style. The cover of Don Henley's "The Boys of Summer" certainly has a good feel to it. The newly non-acoustic version of "Looking Back on Today" is really good as well as is "Radio 2" a song putting down the radio. Odd being that "In This Diary" seems to be getting some radio play a new thing for the Ataris, at least in Pittsburgh, and weird to say the least, but good for them none the less. To any Ataris fan this is a must have.

"The Sound and the Fury"

Drive-Thru records has finally released a complation of the old ska band Mothermania. The band which broke up about 5 years ago was a pretty good ska band featured on snowboard vidoes such as "I Know What You Did Last Winter." The Cd is pretty good diffently has a nice ska feel to it. "Sams a Nympho" is diffently their best song. Not for the new school generation that thinks all Drive-Thru music is niceand pretty.

From Music in High Places

WOW!!!! This cd is amazing. To say Unwritten Law is amazing is an understatement. All acoustic cd of a handful of their songs including "Calin" which sounds amazing, "Up All Night" and "Rest of My Life which both sound great. This cd is well worth the price and anyone who likes really great music can dig it.
