Oh-No
(02/23/02): Lets just say that UPJ's delta sigma chi has some crazy ass parties. Anyway their very own Oh-No hit the stage for yet another show. With all honesty this might be their best show and even if you don't know any of the guys one very much worth seeing. Playing covers from Jimmy Eat World, Green Day, New Found Glory, Fenix TX, Blink 182, Guns N Roses, Goldfinger, Mest and many more, and thats not even counting the donut song!!! This 5 man group of badass mofos consists of Tim Petrina, crazy ass vocalist, John Lecheck, drummer, The Teet brothers, dualing guitars, and the man know only as Animal, drunken Bass. So anyone on the UPJ campus hearing that the Band is playing better get their asses to the show. Look foward to All 80's night.

Mest, Unwritten Law, and Sugarcult
(03/02/02): Lets just say that this was one hell of a show first off. Mest is one of the most talented groups of new school punk rockers i've ever seen and never stop amazing me. They mixed up their set with stuff from their cd'd Wasting Time, and Destination Unknown. Both of those cd's if you don't own them already should be very high on the gonna buy soon list. Unwritten Law was the head lining band and just went fucking crazy. Its really weird I go away to school for a few months and I come back and all the bands I liked and no one ever heard of are super huge... weird. But lets just say that Unwritten Law is diffently on their way to getting big and the are sick.

**I really never update this but here goes ^^^

Oh-No
(10/??/01): It was home coming weekend at the party central of western PA.. UPJ. At the delta sigma chi house where Oh-No played their first set ever as a band. This at the time cover band including snowcrew member Tim Petrina as lead singer sang a bunch of songs going from: Goldfinger - Mable, Here in your bedroom, Fenix Tx - Ben, Blink 182 - Dammit, NFG - Hit or Miss, All About her, Boycrazy, Sum41 - Fit Lip. I know they played more but I can't remember them now. Anyway it was a kick ass show at a kick ass frat during a kickass weekend. They fact that the band kicked ass just highlighted the night. I hope to see more of them as soon as possible and maybe even they will start writing their own stuff. ~~~~Happy Timmy

w/ Blink 182
(7/17/2001): First off lets start by saying that this show was at Starlake, the biggest venue around Pittsburgh. So right off the bat this is not good for a punk show, so right away i'm going to this show with a bad attitude. New Found Glory did however play a totally awesome set. Opening with Sucker tehy played Better off Dead, Dressed to Kill, Sincerly Me, Eyesore, #rd and Long, Passing Time, Hit or Miss, Glory of Love, Never ending Story and a few other I can't remember. Needless to say that NFG is the best punk band i've ever seen live. And they totally rocked the place. Blink 182 had some awesome pyro technics and a sweet opening. However they followed the Sellout style that I was anticpating. As an old School Blink fan I was very disappointed to hear only one song from Dude Ranch and One song from Chersher Cat. However after seeing a band like NFG its hard to not like what your watching and I managed to stick it through. One thing I do have to say is that Blink's live preformance has improved about 100% since their pre-sellout days.

(7/11/2001): Zebrahead with Reel Big Fish. Thats really all that need to be said. Two of the best bands i've ever heard playing a show together. Zebrahead opened and played an awesome set. Songs ranging from Check, Get Back, Jag Off to Playmate, I'm Money and in my room. Zebrahead is really a band that everyone should see live. These guys put on a really good show, sound really good live, and always have girls flashing the crowd all in all a great concert band. Reel Big Fish is another band that is awesome to see live except for the flashing part they match Zebrahead in every way. The highlight of there show was actually the cover they played of Sublime's Boss Dj which is an awesome song. All in all this was one of those awesome shows that is a pity to miss and hard to duplcate.

With
(2/21/2001) :Tonight was the Newfound Glory and Less than Jake show at Club Laga. First thing is first: Both of these bands KICK ROYAL ASS. Newfound Golry is one of my favorite bands and I could not wait to see them. I did not however buy tickets ahead of time. When we got there we discovered that the show had sold out. This was really the worst thing that could have happened. We stood around for about half an hour trying to buy tickets: $90 for three. We were getting mad and angry. We went inside the downstairs of Laga to get warm. Thats when things got better, for me at least. I was standing there asking everybody that walked by to sell me tickets to no avail. I see a guy coming up to me, he said "you wanna get in", and I said "HELL YA." I was in amasement and the guy turned out to be Cheese form Less Than Jake. I got in for free, and only missed two songs by NFG. The rest of the night could not have gone any better. NFG is really one of the best bands that I have even seen live: the energy, the songs, everthing is just totally the best it can be. I heard from them: Sucker, Better Off Dead, Boycrazy, Passing Time, Hit or Miss, Eyesore, The Glory of Love, and You've got a Friend in Pennsylvania. We then walked around during the break and during the next band, Anti-flag, we talked with Jordan, Ian, and Chad. We've got pictures with the guys but none from their set, hey I was just happy getting in. Also expect in interview from the guys up in a few days. Less than Jake came on with one of the most awesome entrence I have ever seen. They played a bunch of songs that I can not remember but from what I can they played: All my best friends are metalheads, Ask the Magic 8 Ball, I swear its the last time, I think I love you, Never going back to New Jersey, Malt Liquor tastes better when you've got problems.... and a lot more too. Over all Newfound Glory has been one of the best bands i've seen in a long time. Their energy, skill, and over all fun loving attitude makes for one hell of a show. If you have a chance to see these guys and don't go then simply put you are a FUCKING MORON. Less than Jake is a band that 3 months ago I more than likely would not have gone to see. They are really under rated. They have a ton of good songs and also put on one hell of a show. Basically of all the shows that I have seen at Laga, or anywhere else for that matter none have or are likely to top this one. I dare to say that NFG is really really close to the live skill that 311 has.

(10/24/2000): Tonight was the Fenix *TX show at Laga. Let me start off by saying that if you go to the bottom of this page their show like almost a year ago was the first concert I saw after the establishment of this site, damn now i'm all teary eyed. Anyway I had class till 8 so i only saw one song from Good Charlotte and it was Little Things, which sounded pretty good. Next was A Newfound Glory. These guys rock hardcore. Like I really am pretty pissed I haven't got to see them or pick up a cd cause they rule. Well next was Feinx and they totally KICKED ASS. They opened with Ben which to all us snowboarders is a Great song with mad setimental value, and it was also the first song we heard from them. They played a bunch of songs and if you remember them from the Riverfenix days, like me, you will know City of the Dead which was pretty cool to hear. Anyways it was a dope show and I can't wait till they come back.

(10/20/2000): Tonight was the Catch 22 show at Club Laga. But wait why is there a Midtown banner right above this you ask. Well I really don't like Catch 22 and I went to see Midtown. So anyway the concert opened with Punchline who gets better evertime I see them. If you ever get a chance to see this guys take it cause they are pretty good in concert. Next was OS 101. Well to make a bad review short they sucked pretty bad. The singing was just way off from their style of music and it didn't work. Midtown took the stage next and as in the other shows i've seen them at they rocked. They just really kick ass, thats all there is to it. They played a buch of songs and it kinda sucked that they were opening cause they didn't play enough. But all in all it was a good time to be had by all.

(9/5/2000) Tonight was the Zebrahead and Wheatus show at laga. The first thing I have to say is that it was a free concert and the only reason is that I don't know any person in their right mind that would pay to see Wheatus. Now I kinda like that Teenage dirt bag song but they were really lame. I think the guy warms up back stage by having people kick him in the nuts cause I couldn't sing like that when I was 5. However Zebrahead was AWESOME. I skipped A class to see them cause I missed them twice already but it was worth it. They are totally awesome live. They played: Get Back, Check, Someday, Jag Off, Fly Daze, Playmate, Now or Never, I'm Money, Wannabe, Go, Subtract You and, In My Room(not in that order). It was really cool casue before the show while lookin for shoes at a near by sore we ran into Ali lookin at some stuff and talked with him. All in all it was an awesome show. And I can't wait to see them with 311!!!!!!!!

(8/13/2000): Tonight was the Midtown concert at Laga. This show was awesome. The first band that played was United 51, and they weren't too bad but i walked in on their last 2 songs. Punchline was good. I think the highlight was when they used a quote from Braveheart which if you live in a closet is one of the greastest movies ever. Midtown was sick. When they came on they really went off. Off their new cd they played: Rock and Roll, Recluse, Direction, Let Go, No Place Feels Like Home, Such a Person, Come On, Resting Sound, Frayed Ends. If you want more on thier new cd Click here. I really like their music and if you ever get a chance to hear them or see them TAKE IT!!!! And here's a shout out to Rob and Gabe for taking the pictures... Thanks Guys!!!!!

(7/12/2000) Last night zebrahead played at Laga and they rocked. They were the 2nd band of the show. The first band was called pimpadelic.....well, they blew. Zebrahead was next and they rocked for about and hour. Here is what they played: check, get back, wannabe(spice girls cover), someday, waste of mind, walk away, big shot, all i need, jag off, and playmate of the year(new song). About 3/4 through their set they pulled like 8 girls up onto stage and asked them to remove their shirts to win a t-shirt. Now for the best part, after zebrahead got done we spotted Greg and Justin so we chatted for a while. Getting back stage was no big deal...I just asked some big ass bouncer if i could go back and get some autographs from the guys. By this time The Corporate Avengers were playing.....once again ...they blew!! so we were chillin right by the door to backstage just watchin the Corporate Avengers making asses of themselves and Justin popped out.... and was like "hey guys whats up??" so we chilled with him for a while and he told us to come and see him later when they were done doing a japanese interview for radio. He told us where the bus was and then we split. we stayed to watch one song from Kottonmouth Kings, ummmm....they didnt blow as much as the other bands did. So we left the concert a bit early to go to the bus. Club Laga(where the show was) is on the 3rd and 4th floor of a building in the middle of the city.......there is a bar on the 2nd floor and I dunno what the hell is on the first floor. But anyways.. we were on our way out to check their bus, and we happened to spot Ali in the bar on the 2nd floor. He was cool as hell!!!! He took 2 pics with us and he signed some shit for us and then he said he'd talk to us later by the bus. So we then continued to the bus and waited for a while and they finally all came out after like and hour of waiting for them......they were like "hey man lets get a big group picture!!" After that we just chilled and bullshitted with them for a while. This is TIM reportin live for SMITTY as he is enroute to california as i type this....i hope ya like this smitty.......oh yeah i almost forgot......you missed a hell of a night man!!!!!! -Tim (taken from Tim's like 614651631 page review and it's still long Damn it Tim)

(6/20/2000) First off let me start off by saying that this ,like the other 311 concerts i've been to, was one of the most FUCKIN awesome things i've ever seen!!!!!!! The show started off with incubus who wasn't that bad but totally borded me cause I don't listen to them. 311 opened up with down. This was one of the most badass things ever! They totally set the place on fire. They sung like 20 songs and ended with a double oncore with Who's Got the Herb, and Fuck the Bullshit. It only gets better from here though. Thanks to my hunny , Lisa, I got to go to the aftershow party with a Backstage pass (raymer helped a little too). Their we got to chill with about 40 other people and Nick Hexum, Chad Sexton, as well as many of the faces that were in the Enlarged to show detail video. Dan also drank from Nick Hexum's beer which was pretty cool. As of right now my ears are still ringing and Let me finish by saying that if you missed this one, TIM, you really, really, REALLY SUCK.

(3/23/2000) The Reel Big Fish concert was tonight. They opened with some punk band and catch 22. After that they came out and rocked the place. The singer was wearing a superman outfit, however he later changed into a weird jamican outfit. Tim Blasko got up on stage for a couple of seconds before jumping back into the crowd. He was later escorted from the building. The bad news is that the whole roll of film I used at the show was screwed up and could not be processed and for about an hour my left shoe was missing but I found it after the show ended. Even though the film did not come out it was still a good show and I hope they come back cause they do kick ass!!!

(2/19/2000) The Boyce Park Snowboard Comp. The day started out good with a fresh new table top ,that was quite sweet, and some sunshine. Warm-ups also went quite well with people pulling off some very cool stuff. The long jump was first in the comp(Read on to see why I didn't like it). Followed by the big air and then the races. In first for the long jump was Pat ???? followed by Timmy in second. In the big air it was Timmy in first followed by Pat ???? in second. Unfortinitly I do not have the name of the kid who won the races because everyone lost intrest after the big air. Taking a dis-honorable mention was Smitty who had the worst crash of the day, but still finished the day with pained breathing and what looked like broken ribs. All in all this was a fun time to be had by all even thoughs of us who walked out with nothing but a brushed hip.

The first thing I have for you is the Fenix*TX Concert that took place Friday 1/29/2000. This show wasn't that bad. They opened with Dawson High which was a pretty good band. Next was Midtown who also were pretty good. When Fenix*TX came on they just rocked. They were really energetic and despite the black eye they still rocked the place. The only bad part is that they didn't play the surf song, but it was still an awesome show.
