Where to start with this one is hard. Well to say the least the x-games were fun! We left Pittsburgh 2 1/2 hours late on Friday afternoon to embark on a 6 hour road trip to the city of Brotherly Love. We only got lost once, or twice. We finally got to our hotel arouond 1 and just decided to crash. When we all got up and finally got the energy to go to the actual games we come to find that the line to get in went the whole way around the block twice. |
| However due to our good buddy Todd Walkowiak we got sweet parking, vip passes, and no line. Saturday was some what uneventful. We watched mostly only the biking dirt jump prelims where Todd got 8th and quiflied for finals. After that we left to go to a party mountain dew was having for all the X-Games particpants. Fenix TX was setting up to play for this special invite only party. Needless to say this was FUCKING AWESOME. They played for about an hour and 20 minutes songs ranging from Ben to Threesome. Next we ventured back to the hotel room to get all wasted. |

Sunday was looking to be a good day.We got to the arena around the same time the
line looked twice as long...haha.. We actually got to watch Skateboarding doubles from
the dirt at the dirt jumps. Now i'm not really a skateborder but those guys are
crazy. |
| Then we ventured out to watch a little of the in-line finals. Lets just say that I have come to the realization that I will never ever be skating in the x-games. I actually only watched three guys frist runs in order to get back to watch my friend ride. Now I know what your thinking, rollerblader leaving the rollerblade finals to watch biking, but Todd is a good friends do come first. |

Biking got a little crazy in the finals. Todd got 10th and was really fucked by the judges to say the least. S. Murry got first, the only reason I say S is because I don;t know his name, i think his last name might be wrong too but its close enough. Anyway this guy was pretty crazy being the first dirt jumper to pull a double backflip in a comp. As far as I have heard he's only the second person to land it on dirt. |
This was as far as our X-games trip was going to go conisdering it was laready 10pm and I had to leave Pittsburgh for West Virginia the next day and we stil had 6 hours of driving to go. However the trip in the cowboy seat of a pick-up truck was really nice... yeah right that shit fucking sucked. Anyway all in all it was a sweet trip and since the X-games are in Philly next year too I hope to be going there again. |
