~Delusion

You watch me intently.
Your eyes are mine.
Soon it all fades away,
And your invisible again.
You hold me safely in your arms.
I’m warm and protected.
As I grow comfortable,
The grip and protection are released.
Whisper that you love me.
Tell me you’ll always be here.
Murmur sweetly in my ear,
Then your words turn to air.
Kiss me softly on my neck.
Take my hand in yours.
I kiss you back gently,
But I cannot feel your lips.
I never have time to react.
I cannot reach out to you.
Whenever I try to touch you,
I pass right through you.
I cannot decide if my mind is rot.
I don’t dare say you’re false.
My mind is an expert at fooling me,
But this feels too real for me to let go.
