Yet I Go On

I stood and stared at your eyes so cold
All love is lost, so I've been told
I can't believe it's you I'll never hold
Yet I go on...

Those words I thought I'd never hear
Went thru my heart just like a spear
I'm begging one last time to hold you near
Yet I go on...

I kept hoping and praying it all wasn't true
That long bus ride home, all thoughts were of you
I realized there was nothing more I could do
Yet I go on...

Thousands of miles between us, I bury the past
My undying love was replaced so fast
Forever within me our memories will last
And yes, I will go on.

Aunt Deb, who picks me up when I fall off
the bike of life and makes me ride again..
