Hurt Little Child

Hurt little child in a grown up body
I tried to be your superstar, instead was your oddity
The tears I've cried, years of hurt kept inside
I tried to make you happy, instead lost all my pride.

You stole away my innocence and scarred me really deep
Sometimes I close my eyes at night, pray for eternal sleep
Dad, why did you hurt me so bad? I never asked for the abuse
"You remind me of your Mom" is really no excuse.
Will I ever forgive? Do you ever forget?
Hurt little child in a grown up's body.
