Love Induced Pain

I came to you, I gave my all
You gave me love, I was ten feet tall
I tried, I fought, but nothing worked
I can't believe my heart was yours
Why was I such a jerk?

Now I sit and wallow in pain, self induced
No hugs to ease my hurt, I'm so confused
So now I often think of what might have been
And ready myself for the pain of being alone again.
