Lesson Learned

If I could make you feel the pain you've induced
Would you still want to hurt me?
If you cried my tears and felt the aching in my chest
Would you still be like the rest?
Did it feel good to strip me of my everything?
My love for you so honest and true
But like the claw of a demon you ripped my flesh
And mutilated my still beating heart...
Crushing whatever left of my simple world
My head spinning like a top
An emotional trip from which I may never return.
Yet in a sick twisted way, I thank you
The lesson learned is priceless.
