Then There Was You

I lay here in the silence and think all alone
Thinking bout life and all I've gained and lost
How many times I've looked for love
How my endless searches seemed to be in vain
Then there was you.

You've brightened the dark corridors of my mind
I still have fear in my heart, yet love you so much
All of my hurt and all my pain from love's past
Then there was you.

Altho the distance kills us both
Our love for each other grows stronger each day
Dreams of our future and the love we'll share together
Make me smile so much
I've searched so long, searched high and low
Damn near gave up...
And then there was you.
