Icon of St. Raphael with St. Joseph the Hieromartyr of Damascus, written in 1998 by John Lickwar for Bishop Basil; located at the Southwest Chancery of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America in Wichita, Kansas. St. Joseph the Hieromartyr was the parish priest of St. Raphael's parents in Damascus. They fled to Beirut during the persecution by the Moslems in which St. Joseph was killed; St. Raphael was born in Beirut shortly thereafter.
