Hello everyone
and welcome to our family home page.
We are
having a great summer in the Pennsylvania mountains, our last fishing excursion
with the rug rats was what motivated me to finally do a home page.
please allow me to introduce
us to you.
this is me, eddie, stella and
buster the wonder dog.
buster dosen't like to have his
picture taken too much since he entered the witness protection program.
the beauty below is my honey
shelly, aka curveechick.
she's a college girl,a talented
pianist and takes great care of us all.
we live in the mountains of
pennsylvania, summer is our favorite time of the year.
we love to FISH, swim and FISH
!!!
Last year shelly constantly out
fished us all but this year we were all suprised and humbled a little on
our last outing.
here's our 1988 DODGE RAIDER
packed to capacity.
can you believe that underneath
all that gear is a 600 watt power amp and 2 , 8 inch kicker subwoofers
!!
yep, we JAM on our way to the
river.
it's a great little 4x4.
this was eddie's first time
out with a fly rod.
he's 11 years old and the greatest
son a man could ask for.
a straight A student, but he
has my off the wall sense of humor X 2 !!!!
anyone that knows me, knows
that spells trouble. :)
anyone that has ever attempted
to dry fly cast knows how difficult it is. between the tangles and the
snags, the majority of people that try it, usually give up within the first
hour.
a few pointers from dad and
some fly float and he was off to cast to some rises.
this was stella's first time
out with an open face reel.
she's 7 years old and has daddy
right where she wants him.
wrapped around her little finger.
she is also a straight A student,
just for fun sometimes stella
kicks back with 2 sets of encyclopedias and does "research".
i expected a rat's nest of tangles
with her and her new openfaced reel.
again a few pointers from dad
and a rubber worm and a bobber and she was off to catch the biggest "bigmouth"
bass
in the water.
it was just a matter of about
20 minutes and BAM !
eddie caught his first fish
dry
fly casting solo.
that is quite an accomplishment
for a boy his age. he went on to catch them every few minutes, a total
of 13 when we stopped counting!!!
as a father, i was so proud
of him, all the years he has watched me fly fish had given him a "knowingness"
of how it works. he'll grow to become a fine fly fisherman, no doubt
much better than the old man.
as i said before, i was so proud
of him, but what was even better was he was so proud of himself.
shelly and i sat back and just
watch as eddie popped 1 fish after another, laughing with amazement..........
..........and then it happen.........
to continue with
"something fishy is going
on here"
