Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - Enemies

Zombie
Zombie
Infected by the unknown "Cannibal Disease," the unsuspecting citizens of Raccoon City have been transformed into the nightmarish undead. There is a very large variety of zombies in the game including policemen and business men. Zombies come in all shapes and sizes and have various attacks including vomiting an acidic bile. Zombies also have the ability ot walk very fast make them a though enemy at times. Zombies are the most plentiful enemy in the game and can be taken down with any weapon, but you'll use your handgun or knife to take the majority of them down.

Cerberus
Cerberus
Another common Resident Evil enemy, the dogs in Raccoon have also been infected and have become some of the most vicious creatures to roam the streets of Raccoon. The dogs move in packs of 2-3 and are usually tempted to circle you before jumping at your throat. The dogs can be a tough enemy when you're caught off guard, but the best weapons to take care of 'em include the shotgun, handgun, and grenade launcher.

Crow
Crow
These flesh-eating crows are probably one of the easiest enemies in the game and should just be avoided altogether. Though if you are tempted to kill them, your shotgun, handgun, or assault rifle will work the best, but as mentioned earlier, just avoid 'em if possible.

Drain Demon
Drain Demon
Seemingly easy enemies, when faced without the proper weaponry, the Drain Demons can prove a tough enemy. You will encounter the Drain Demons as you make your way into the downtown section of Raccoon, near Grill 13 and the Theater. These guys have the tendancy to jump around and can walk on the walls, too. Also, watch out for the acidic spray they will try to hit you with, as it will poison you. Any weapon with a little kick (that is stronger than the Handgun) will probably suit well for these guys.

Brain Sucker
Brain Sucker
Similar to the Drain Demon in almost every way, these guys will try to suck your brain. The Brain Suckers are quick enemies when they run on their hind legs and should be met with heavy firepower. The Brain Suckers also have the ability to poison you. As with the Drain Demon, any weapon with a little firepower will work.

Sliding Worm
Sliding Worm
Probably the easiest enemy in the game, the Sliding Worms can be taken out with any weapon but avoiding them is your best bet. These guys will slide along the ground and try to jump and latch on you. They will begin to turn red with the blood they suck from you and once they're on ya, you'll have to wait for you character to rip them off.

Spider
Spider
Another common enemy in the previous games, the spider is a fairly easy enemy. They will try to poison you with a spray of acid or they can bite you. The best weapon to use against a spider is the Grenade Launcher equipped with Acid Rounds, for these paticular rounds will kill the babies in the mother's womb.

Small Spider
Small Spider
Also found in previous Resident Evil games, these baby spiders will burst out of their mother's body after you've killed her. The best way to do away with these guys is to just leave the room once they burst from the body and when you re-enter, they'll be gone. As an alternative, kill the mother spider with the Grenade Launcher loaded with Acid Rounds for the Acid Rounds will kill these guys in the womb and never give 'em the chance to see the light (or dark) of day.

Hunter
B.O.W. MA-121B (Hunter)
Back from the previous Resident Evil series, the Hunters in RE3 look almost unfinished from the waist, up. Though seemingly unfinished, these guys still haven't lost their deadliness that they showed you in RE1. The Hunters still have their agility and speed, and the deadly decapitation maneuver. Nothing with less power than the shotgun should be used on these guys as they are tough.

Blocker
B.O.W. MA-124G (Blocker)
Similar to the Hunter, the Blockers are also quick and agile, thus the moist environment they reside in. You will meet the Blockers toward the middle-end of the game, in the Raccoon Hospital. The Blockers are as deadly as the Hunter and when they catch you low in health, they have the ability to swallow you whole. Heavy firepower should be used when dealing with these guys.

Grave Digger
Grave Digger
You'll first encounter this huge work-like creature near the power reserve for the trolley station. The Grave Digger is a tough enemy and has the ability to kill you in two hits. This guy likes to tunnel under the ground and come up right underneath you, causing much damage. Later in the game, you will meet this guy in the Raccoon Cemetary where you'll face off with him. HEAVY FIREPOWER is highly reccomened when dealing with the Grave Digger and don't overlook the health.

Nemesis
"Nemesis"
"S.T.A.R.S.!"-Nemesis *** Created by Umbrella Inc., the "Nemesis" has been programmed to hunt and kill all remaining S.T.A.R.S. members, for they know Umbrella's secrets. The Nemesis is relentless, unstoppable and weilds a Rocket Launcher which can kill you in 2 hits. The Nemesis has a large variety of attacks including shoving a tentacle down your throat. You will meet the Nemesis in 3 different forms as the game progresses and it is HIGHLY reccomended that you use your heaviest artillery when dealing with him or just run away. Also, the Nemesis can be knocked unconscious and he will drop various items every time you defeat him. And don't think that when you leave a room where the Nemesis is that you're safe...yet...
