CUB SCOUT PACK #37 REQUIREMENTS
FOR THE SOCCER SPORTS BELT LOOP/PIN/LETTER
- Complete these three requirements for Belt Loop (Year One):

- Explain the rules of soccer to your Leader or adult partner.
- ____
- Spend at least 30 minutes practicing soccer skills.
- ____
- Play a game of soccer.
- Earn the Soccer Belt Loop and complete five of the following requirements for the Soccer Pin (Year Two):
- ____
- Participate in a Den/Patrol, Pack, school, or community soccer tournament.
- ____
- Demonstrate the skills of passing, collecting, shooting, heading,
dribbling, and tackling.
- ____
- Demonstrate skill in goal keeping.
- ____
- Accurately lay out a soccer field for a game.
- ____
- Demonstrate five types of fouls and explain why players should
avoid them.
- ____
- Demonstrate how to juggle the soccer ball and keep it from
touching the ground for 30 seconds.
- ____
- Play at least two games of Soccer Tennis.
- ____
- Spend at least a total of six hours playing soccer. Keep track of
your time on a chart.
- ____
- Join a soccer team in your community or school.
- ____
- Attend a high school, college, or professional soccer game.
- ____
- Learn about a U.S. Olympic soccer team and report your
information to your Den/Patrol.<
- ____
- Explain the history of soccer.
- Earn the Soccer Belt Loop and Soccer Pin and complete remaining requirements above to earn the Soccer Letter (Year Three).
To help with Den/Patrol organization: Print out this page, check off requirement as completed, and turn in to Leader when all requirements for Belt Loop, Pin, or Letter are completed.
