I got your back, you got mine, I'll help you out anytime. To see you hurt, to see you cry, makes me wanna weep and die. And if you agree to never fight, it wouldn't matter who's wrong or right. If a broken heart needs a mend, I'll be right there to the end. If your cheeks are wet from drops of tears, don't you worry, let go of your fears. Hand in hand love is sent, we'll be friends til the end.

I don't go for your looks, they can deceive.
I don't go for your wealth, even that fades away.
I go for you cuz you make me smile
And it takes only a smile
To make my darkest days seem
BRIGHTER

I could write you romantic poetry, if I could think up rhymes.
Tatoo "I Love You" on my butt, about a million times.
I'd swim the deepest ocean. (If I wasn't afraid of sharks.)
Carve our initials on a tree? What?! And vandalize our parks?
I'd climb the highest mountain, if you'd drive me to Tibet.
Reenact our love with puppets? No. That's my dumbest idea yet!
Geez, this is going badly- it's like my brain is stuck.
Just believe I love you- now let's go someplace and...
Cuddle.
See, I told you I had trouble with rhymes.

~*For My Best Friend*~
By: Apirel Willis
Sometimes when I'm too depressed or drowning in self-doubt, I know that I can call your name and you will pull me out.
You taught me that I'm worth much more than that I'd always thought. You gave me strength and confidence that so long I had sought.
You showed me that I'm beautiful both inside and in. You proved that I'm not second best time and time again.
One day I will return to you all you've given me. I don't know what time or form, but I promise soon you'll see.
For richer, poorer, in sickness, in health, through all the thick and thin, I trust I can count always count on you and I am proud to call you my friend.

In kindergarten your idea of a good friend was was the person who let you have the red crayon when all that was left was the ugly black one. In first grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went to the bathroom with you and held your hands as you walked through the scary halls. In second grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you stand up to the class bully. In third grade your idea of a good friend was the person who shared their lunch with you when you forgot your's on the bus. In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who was willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn't have to be stuck do-si-doing with Nasty Nick or Smelly Susan. In fifth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who saved a seat in the back of the bus for you. In sixth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went up to Nick or Susan, your new crush, and asked them to dance with you, so that if they said no you wouldn't be embarassed. In seventh grade your idea of a good friend was the person who let you copy the social studies homework from the night before that you had. In eighth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you pack up your stuffed animals and old baseball but didn't laugh at you when you finished and broke out into tears. At graduation your idea of a good friend was the person who was crying on the inside but managed the biggest smile one could possibly give as they congratulated you. Now your idea of a good friend is still the person who gives you the better of the two choices, holds your hand when you are scared, helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you, thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understands when you need to hold onto it a little longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, helps you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when they are sad, helps you become a better person, and most imprtantly loves you.

You have known me
in good and
bad times
You have seen me
when I was happy
and when I was sad
You have listened to me
when what I said was intelligent
and when I talked nonsense
You have been with me
when we had fun
and when we were miserable
You have watched me
laugh and cry
You have understood me
when I knew what I was doing
and when I made mistakes
Thank u for
believing in me
for supporting me
and for always being ready
to share thoughts together
You are a perfect friend !

What words can't say
when we talk
You can't imagine what I feel for you
Cuz I can't put in words
How I feel for you
So maybe when u read this
You will kno just how intense my feelings are
And how much I want to say
those three little words to you
cuz then u would kno
Just how much I really
Love you if I could say
I love you
~

When you are sad...I will dry your tears.
When you are scared...I will comfort your fears.
When you are worried...I will give you hope.
When you are confused...I will help you cope.
And when you are lost...And can't see the light.
I shall be your beacon...Shining ever so bright.
This is my oath...I pledge til the end.
Why you may ask?...Because you're my friend!

Are we friends
or are we not?
You told me once
But I forgot
tell me now
and tell me true
So I can say
I'm here for you
Of all the friends I've ever met
You're the one I won't forget
And if I die
before you do
I'll go to Heaven
and wait for you
I'll give the angels
Back their wings
And risk the loss
of everything
Just to prove
my friendship is true
To have a friend just like you.

You were always there when I needed you
never left my side
always there to lean on and dry the tears I cried.
I could always talk to you
you never seem to mind
your voice so honest and gentle
your words so honest and kind.
I never thought I'f meet someone as special as you are
you're my best friend in the whole wide world
you're my shooting star.
~

You're...
my friend
my companion
through good times and bad
my friend
my buddy
through happy and sad
beside me you stand
beside me you walk
you're there to listen
you're there to talk
with happiness
with smiles
with pain and tears
I know you'll be there
throughout the years.

:-(When Tomorrow Starts Without Me:-(
When tomorrow starts without me
And I'm not there to see
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
All filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today
While thinking of the many thing
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me
As much as I love you
And each time that you think of me
I know you'll miss me too
But when tomorrow starts without me
Please try to understand
That an angel came and called my name
and took me by the hand
And said my place was ready
In Heaven far above
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
But as I turned to walk away
A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought
I didn't want to die
I had so much to live for
So much left yet to do
It seemed almost impossible
That I was leaving you.
I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad
I thought of all the love we shared
And all the fun we had.
If I could relive yesterday
Just even for a while
I'd say goodbye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.
But then I fully realized
That this could never be
For emptiness and memories
Would take the place of me.
And when I thought of worldly things
I might miss come tomorrow
I thought of you, and when I did
My heart was filled with sorrow.
But when I walked through Heaven's gates
I felt so much at home.
When God looked down and smiled at me
From His great golden throne
He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past
But here life starts anew.
I promise no tomorrow
But today will always last
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.
You have been so faithful
So trusting and so true.
Thought there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn't do.
But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?
So when tomorrow starts without me
I'm right here, in your heart

If one day you feel like crying...
Call me.
I don't promise that I will make you laugh,
But I can cry with you.
If one day you want to run away--
Don't be afraid to call me.
I don't promise to ask you to stop...
But I can run with you.
If one day you don't want to listen to anyone...
Call me.
I promise to be there for you.
And I promise to be very quiet.
But if one day you call...
And there is no answer...
Come fast to see me.
Perhaps I need you.

Hug!!
It's wonderful what a hug can do
A hug can cheer you when you're blue
A hug can say, "I love you so."
Or "Gee, I hate to see you go."
A hug is "Welcome back again."
And "Great to see you, where've you been?"
A hug can smooth a small child's pain
And bring a rainbow after rain.
The hug:There's no doubt about it
We scarcely could survive without it.
A hug delights and warms and charms-
That must be why God gave us arms.
Hugs are great for Fathers and Mothers,
Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers
And chances are your favorite aunts
Love them more than potted plants
Kittens crave them, puppies love them,
Heads of State are not above them.
A hug can break the language barrier
And make your travels so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of them
The more you give the more there's more of 'em.
So stretch those arms without delay
And give someone a hug today!

I'll do all I can
If you are sad and feeling blue,
call upon me,
I'll do all I can to cheer you up,
I'll do all I can to help you.
If you feel you have to get away,
call upon me,
I'll do all I can to help you through,
I'l do all I can to help you today.
If you need some time to let it all out, call upon me,
I'll do all I can to be there for you,
I'll do all I can to know what it's about.
But if you call upon me,
and I am not there,
come over quickly,
I may need love and care.

"The Present"
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.
That's why it's called
"The Present"

Friends, you and me...
You brought another friend...
And then there were 3...
We started our group...
Our circle of friends...
And like that circle...
There's no beginning or end...

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.
If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.
If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare and extra minute or two
to stop and say I love you,
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.
If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.
For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything right.
There will always be another day
to say our I love you's,
and certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do's?"
But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget,
Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
and today may be the last chance you get
to hold your loved one tight...
So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day
That you didn't take the extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.
So hold your loved ones close today,
whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear,
Take time to say "I'm sorry, please forgive me,"
"thank you" or "it's okay".
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.
