Welcome You To Their Garden!
Philip, Zach and Chucky planted a garden behind the camp store. They had a plan. If they sold their vegetables in the camp store they might be able to save enough money to buy the new swiss knife for sale under the glass case in the camp store.
But the garden became more than a way to earn money. It became a meeting place. The boys found it easier to talk about scary things like ghosts if they talked while working in the garden, and it was easier to work when they were talking.
Philip took pride in every tomato, cucumber, bean and squash. It felt good to know that their work had produced such beautiful veggies. He counted the money in his head even before the vegetables were sold!
When they planted their garden they didn't expect to end up with a ghost!
