Attack Information |
A pokemon that has been hit by Nightmare will lose 1/4th of their maximum HP (by integer division) at the end of every round.
The opposing pokemon must have the status condition of Sleep for Nightmare to work on them. Nightmare will automatically fail if the opposing pokemon does not have the status condition of Sleep or is still taking damage from a previous use of Nightmare. Nightmare is unaffected by moves or items that alter Accuracy or Evade. The effects of Nightmare will end under any of the following conditions: 1. The affected pokemon faints 2. The affected pokemon wakes up 3. The affected pokemon switches out normally 4. The affected pokemon switches out via Baton Pass to a pokemon that does not have the status condition of Sleep (in order to clear up any confusion: this can only happen if the pokemon that has been hit by Nightmare uses Sleep Talk). |
