Rapid Spin can eliminate some annoying conditions that have been inflicted on the user of the move.
When Rapid Spin is used the continuous effects of some moves are eliminated:
1. Partial trapping moves - Both the trapping and continuous damage side effects of the moves will end as soon as Rapid Spin is used.
2. Leech Seed - Effect is ended.
3. Spikes - Effect is ended. If Spikes has been used by both sides, then only the opponent's Spikes will be eliminated. Note: This is the only way in the game to end the effects of Spikes while the match is still going.
Rapid Spin will not free the using pokemon from Full trapping moves.
Rapid Spin receives the flinching bonus when King's Rock is attached to the using pokémon.
Rapid Spin is affected by Brightpowder when the opposing pokémon is equipped with it.
