| On the turn that Rest is selected, the using pokemon will have their status changed to SLP and they will regain enough HP to make their current HP equal to their maximum HP. The SLP status will remain for 2 turns after the turn of use, with the pokemon waking up on the turn after that. When the SLP status ends, the using pokemon will have their status set to NRM. If the using pokemon's status had been set to PAR or PSN before Rest was used, the side effects of these two conditions will end after their current HP is set equal to their maximum HP.
Rest will automatically fail if the using pokemon's HP is equivalent to its maximum HP.
