Spider Web causes the opposing pokemon to be unable to run from battle or switch out normally. A pokemon can still switch by using the move Baton Pass, but the pokemon that is brought in will be prevented from running or switching. The effects of Spider Web last until either the using pokemon switches out normally (the effect will still continue if the switch is via Baton Pass), or the opposing pokemon faints. Spider Web is unaffected by the use of Accuracy or Evade modifiers. |
