Attack Information |
Struggle is the move that all pokemon use when they have run out of PP for all of their moves. It can be used at no other time. Unlike in the R/B/Y versions of the game where the move was of type Normal, Struggle is effectively typeless in G/S/C/S2. It will be able to damage all pokemon, regardless of type. The damage is not reduced regardless of the type(s) of the opposing pokemon. Struggle is a Recoil move. After damage is dealt, a Recoil move inflicts 1/4th (by integer division) of the damage done to the opponent to the pokemon using the Recoil move. If the opposing pokemon has a Substitute up when the Recoil move hits, the pokemon using it will only take 1 HP damage, regardless of how much damage was dealt to the Substitute. Recoil moves include: Double-Edge, Struggle, Submission, and Take Down. Struggle receives the flinching bonus when King's Rock is attached to the using pokémon. Struggle is affected by Brightpowder when the opposing pokémon is equipped with it. |

All pokemon "know" Struggle, it merely can't be used until they are out of PP for all of their other moves. |
