Attack Information

After damage is dealt, Thief will take any item being held by the opposing pokemon. The item will be taken even if the opposing pokemon has sustained enough damage to cause it to faint.

An item will not be taken from the opponent if the using pokemon is currently holding an item or if the opponent has a Substitute up.

The stolen item will revert to its original owner after the battle is over in link battles and in Stadium 2.

Thief receives the flinching bonus when King's Rock is attached to the using pokémon.

Thief is affected by Brightpowder when the opposing pokémon is equipped with it.
