Some of the cars at Pocono Raceway 8/13/00

  • I thought this Porsche had a front mount intercooler when I first saw it leaving the Raceway Friday night. I tried to run him down in my Turbo Eclipse and got my doors blown off. By the time I was in second gear, this Porsche was out of site! Gone. Couldn't even hear it anymore, as I made it to the first crest in the road.
  • It ends up that was a massive oil cooler in front of the car. Here is the massive intercooler hiding under the fin. The owner Bob, ended up being my instructor two days later. What a coincidence!!! Lucky me!!! BTW, Bob also used to race a 1G AWD Turbo Eclipse before moving up in ranks to the sweeet Porsche!

  • Just look at that V-12. Talk about making music.

  • A little more of Italy.
  • This car is sweet as they get!

  • Or is this one?!! Carbon Fiber all over this beast!
  • This car sounded like it had marbles crunching under it while cruising down the pit road, but, that sound quickly changed to something more like a jet fighter as it roared down the track!

  • I think I belong in this seat. Not for my driving skill (novice), but, because I want everything.
  • Just something about a '70 Boss Mustang that makes me smile.
  • and 2 four's under the hood just make me smile all that much more!

  • Pantera!
  • Twin turbocharged!

  • This little Scuby Ralley Car was pretty cool.
  • Big Frount Mount Intercooler, and all kinds of things going on under the hood!

  • Maybe someday, Suburu will give us a car like this instead of letting other countries have all of the good stuff!
  • I'll have to check out that website: www.eurosportrally.com

Here are the best things about going to the Pocono Raceway for me on Saturday.

These were some very cool cars. There were many other cars, that I didn't get pictures of that were every bit as cool as these!
