Every style of hand-weaving was practiced by the Incas. They used this instead of writing in some cases. They made an incredible road system and on it runners took quipe, a knotted rope which recorded crop production, as they traveled from town to town.  They also made very artistic pottery.  Music was experimented with as well. They knew how to smelt and cast metals so they made many different types of instruments such as trumpets and bells out of materials such as brass or stone.
