There is a story behind the purchase of Gwen.We were looking for a Sheltie for breeding and possibly show. Having lost Mitzy at the age of 6 years due to hereditary problems left us wanting to better the breed.
So we found Kit Curtis online and I e-mailed her. We set the date to go and see her ane were very excited. That day we got up and ready to go see this tri puppy. We fell in love at first sight.
So we put our deposit up for her and left.
Kit was helpful in showing us the dogs and I loved how she introduced us to the older one first. Well on the way home my husband and I looked at each other and said "What do you think Mitzy would say?"
Right then there appeared a Big Beautiful Rainbow in the sky and a butterfly flew by our car. Which is why there are so many rainbows and butterflies on my site. Fighting back tears we both said "She approves." That was her sign to us that we were doing something good.
So we went and got out beautiful Tri girl on July 7,1999 at exactly 10:20AM. She has been a wonderful girl. But not a day goes by that we dont think of Mitzy and the day she sent us her aproval with Rainbows and Butterflies.
At present time we have no puppies. But we will keep you posted on planned breeding and when puppies are due to arrive. She has had her hips checked and they are good but not OFA as she isn't 2 yrs old yet. Gwen is also Vwd clear.
