From the Wilkes-Barre Record, Tuesday, 11 November 1930:

Mrs. Mary J. Brown, aged 65, of Schrader Street, Larksville, died yesterday in the hospital of complications following a lingering illness. Deceased is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James Lee, of Larksville and Mrs. William Hancock, of New York. Mrs. Brown was a resident of the place named for many years past and enjoyed the good will of a large following of friends. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon with services at the house by Reverend Thomas A. Clemow, acting pastor of Valley View Church of that borough. Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery.

The pall bearers were Jacob and David Warman, John and Matthew Davidson, William Quinn and James Lee.
