About Kristin Sorra: Kristin Sorra has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember. She is also the illustrator of King of the Cats and The Three Billygoats Gruff and Mean Calypso Joe by Cathrene Valente Youngquist and currently lives in New York with her husband, a fellow artist. Kristin has no cats, but she does have a dog named Desi who purrs in his sleep.
Kristin earned her BFA in illustration with a minor in fashion design at Pratt Institute. While at Pratt she met her husband and current Bridesburg Elementary School teacher, Jeff Schorr.
Kristin's work spans several genres of illustration and design, from children's books to fashion, character design and graphic design. She has worked for several prominent publishing houses, including Simon & Schuster, Scholastic and Penguin Putnam. Her work has also been featured in various magazine publications, clothing labels and interactive media.
