May 21, 2005: Heritage Village Skirmish
97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry,
Company A

The 97th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, Co. A, has received it's orders from the District of West Florida to move with all haste to the shores of Tampa Bay. Once there, they have orders to march inland and destroy Rebel Contraband rumored to be at a small hamlet called Heritage Village. The 97th PA, Co. A will be temporarily relinquishing their assignment at Ft. Clinch and board the armed, sidewheel steamer transport, U.S.S. Fort Henry, at St. Augustine, FL.
