2003
Outlook: Guidash is what the AWBL is about.
He is a dedicated Captain, always working towards the
championship. He was so close in 2002, and was the
unofficial champ in 2001. Frosty finds a way to
make his team win. How? He is great at every
aspect of the game. If it wasn't for Kyle Barilar,
Guidash would be considered the best overall player in
the AWBL. Saying that, Guidash could rewrite all
the AWBL history books this year. Expect Guidash
to make a push for the batting title, and he's already a
shoe-in for a third straight Gold Glove.
About
Dustin Guidash: Frosty is a superb athlete. Can do it all: home runs, triples, you name it. Lacked consistancy in 2001, but came on strong in the second half of the season. Excellent fielder, can play anywhere. One of the worst pitchers in the league, therefore he plays mostly in the field. After a horrid first half, Frosty went on a 10 game tear to contend for the AWBL MVP, take his team to the World Series, earn a Gold Glove, and a nomination on the All-AWBL team.
2002
Outlook: Frosty had the most productive 10 games of any player during any portion of the 2001 AWBL season, which earned him the job of captain in 2002. His overall solid play carried him to all AWBL status, and without a doubt will continue to elevate his game this season. Frosty will once again be in the top 3 in doubles, triples, and batting average, and will also be chasing the homerun lead. There is no team more dependant on their captain than Team Guidash, so he will have to be a major producer this year. His value in the field may force him to stay away from the pitchers mound. Expect him to carry his team and have a very good chance to make a deep play-off run. His boisterous and effective method of motivating his team is unlike any player in AWBL history.
