I Sat By A River

My suitcase was broken
The handle fell off
My suitcase was heavy
It was full of my stuff

The road ahead was long
With dangers untold
My suitcase was broken
It got harder to hold

My old life behind me
I set on my way
The road ahead was long
It seemed more every day

Got stopped by a beggar
He wanted my case
My old life behind me
Didn't trust his face

I walked out of my home
To get peace of mind
Got stopped by a beggar
But left him behind

I sat by a river
Might've been a stream
I walked out of my home
Had to follow a dream

My friends all would have laughed
Had they seen me there
I sat by a river
I didn't really care

Had the knife in my hand
I stared at the skin
My friends all would have laughed
At the state I was in

The tears ran down my face
Created a flood
Had the knife in my hand
Wasn't scared of the blood

It was all over now
The river turned red
The tears ran down my face
Dried when I was dead

My suitcase was heavy
No use any more
It was all over now
My body hit the floor

My suitcase was broken
The handle fell off
My suitcase was heavy
It was full of my stuff
