In 1866, one year after the close of the Civil War, a group of Christian men and women erected on a beautiful hill, overlooking Richmond Township, Berks County, Pa., a House of Worship known as Becker’s St. Peter’s Church. The church was erected in about six months during the summer and fall of 1866. The Cornerstone was laid on May 27th 1866 and the church was dedicated on November 25th of the same year.
