London Bridges Review-11/17/05

Alex Cross returns in this tenth novel of the series. Pretty much picking up where The Big Bad Wolf ended and barrelling full throttle ahead into bigger and badder territory. The Weasel is back and is working with the Wolf, Alex's new nemesis. A bombing of a small desert town sparks the new narrative. The Wolf is holding the world hostage for money and the release of several prisoners. And he is true to his word, the first deadline ends and boom a bridge in New York City is destroyed. Alex is hellbent on taking down the Wolf but first he takes down the Weasel and good thing I was tired of him being out there somewhere. With the many twists and turns and so many red herrings concerning the Wolf's identity, London Bridges will keep you guessing untill the very interesting ending. One last word, from the looks of this book, I don't like Christine anymore (who knew she would turn out to be so rotten) but I hope Alex can decide between the lovely Kaela or the women he has a lot in common with Jamilla. It is a fast read and the page will fly. Rating *****
