Name: Dezelith/Imperial Gothic Location: Denmark Website: http://dezelith.deviantart.com/ Materials: "The much sought Games Workshop (Nimba Creations) Space Marine helmet. I found this baby on ebay with a spare reserve, so I bought both. The helmet surface was sanded, the eye lenses was cut out, making it possible to wear. The tubes on the sides was refitted. And Imperial Eagle from black Library was fittet to the lower mouth grill. Painting: The entire helmet was coated black. The mouth piece was then sprayed with a chrome spray ( this was later coated with a dull metallic) The center spines was painted with a more dark tone. The side tubes were also drybrushed with metal. The eye sockets were painted with "mithril silver" along with the ear pieces. The helmet features several "fake " entry plugs and lids - these were painted with a chrome spray along the edges, to simulate an old and worn look. The forehead was then covered with hiding-tape, and the Inquisitorial I was fitted for white spraying. (actually, I sprayed the forehead white first, fitted a custom I sticker, sprayed black and removed the sticker) To finalize things, I've coated the entire thing with a clear gloss varnish. The eyes were installed, though I have yet to find suitable see-through lenses. The entire thing now have a comm-device installed, a rebreather AND a voice changer module. " |
