The
FLASHOVER Simulator is a “LIVE FIRE” training course to provide
firefighters first-hand experience in the dangers of sudden full room
involvement in fire and what firefighters can do in such instances to survive,
by a hands-on, practical experience of heat and intensity of such a
phenomenon.
The
training consists of classroom instruction and hands-on experience, all at
a minimal cost (per firefighter), which can be covered by relief
association money.

Costs
for the 16-hour training, include, lunches, classroom materials and
materials needed for burn. The cost is $90.00 per firefighter, with a
maximum class size of 16 persons. Due to this training involving live
fire training, no junior firefighters will be allowed.
