    The Lansford Firefighters Memorial is dedicated to the memory of those who have devoted there lives to serve protect their neighbors and the community The memorial is located in Kennedy Park on West Patterson St. in Lansford. The memorial consists of a black marble stone, which contains a Maltese cross on one side and the Fireman's Prayer on the other, and a willow tree located behind the monument dedicated to the memory of Lt. John "Jabe" Maynard. On July 5, 2002 the Lansford Firefighter Memorial was dedicated during a ceremony in Kennedy Park. The ceremony featured remarks from former Lansford Fire Chief and current Lansford Mayor George Krajnak and Carbon County Commisioner and Safety Officer for the Lehighton Fire Department Wayne Nothstein and a blessing by Father Hallabura, formerly of St. Ann's Church.
