*much screaming*

Ho boy. I'm glad that's over. It's kind of sad to see the last high school play for me, but at least I don't have to work with certain people and systems anymore! (You know what I'm talking about). We had quite a time getting this one together. Wednesday night we tried to run the whole thing and only just finished the first act. Thursday we ran Act II and then ran the whole thing for the very first time.

And Friday was opening night.

I think everything went really well. The cast party was really fun (altho I absolutely abhor the way I looked in the video of the play; I hope I didn't look that bad in real life.) And my parents got me a gorgeous pink rose (and a whole bag of good'n'plenties, which I finished off in about four days).

But yeah, things were insane. The one night, practice ended at 6:30 (which was pretty early compared to most of tech week). I took Dee and Amy home (they live out on the opposite reaches of town). Got home at about 7:15, at which point, of course, it was pitch black out (I so can't wait for spring). When I got home I got my shower, finished the brief Andrew wrote for our debate (there's another bad story, but I don't think I'll tell it. Happy ending: we got it all done, and the class voted in our favor 17 to 1!). I fixed a scholarship essay, wrote a quick paragraph for a scholarship, wrote a letter for a scholarship, printed it all out, checked over my activities list for another scholarship, got it all ready for the guidance office, went to bed... and realized that I had never eaten any dinner...

So yeah, the only things I miss are the parts where I was actually onstage, but mostly, hanging out with all the kewl people! I met new friends--Sara, Missy, Andrea and Luke! We had so many fun Harry Potter conversations! (We love you Harry, Oh yes we do, We love you Harry, And Hogwarts too. When you're not near us, I want my broom, and my Quidditch Cup, And wand, tooooo... --LR)

We performed one of the dances, "Lotta Livin", at a program at Dickinson--that one was awesome! The lift that Byron and I do at the end--I think it was the best one we ever did! Except for the part at the end where the underside of my ponytail caught on the button on his cuff and ripped a whole hank of hair off... Really, it didn't hurt that bad! And thankfully I don't think anyone noticed. But the lift itself rocked.

Inside jokes this year:
*We love you Harry, Oh yes we do...
*Just pretend Neil is actually Orlando Bloom
*We love Orlando, Oh yes we do...
*Falling over is funny
*Moonlight swims, and laugh at the view...
*Neil's Elvis outfits
*Neil thrusting (aaaaack)
*The pattern on David's telephone box
*The guys love the Freddy
*Jared's little comment (they want icewater in hell, too...)
*First time Zoe (about 6 yrs old) came out onstage in her colonial dress--"This thing makes me look fat!"
*More Zoe comments on the dress--"I look like a little potato!"
*Thank goodness you're here, Popcorn Man!
*Thank goodness you're here, Roly-Poly Man!
*Thank goodness you're here, Sean Martin Impersonator Man!

How far do you have to go in this place to find an outlet?! Sorry about the graininess; flash didn't go off
on this one.

Tristin, Katie (crew), Byron, Bryan, John (cast), Pam (crew)

Katie, Courtney, Dee

Two Harry Potter fans! Luke and Andrea

Poor Rachel. In case you can't tell, the guys are playing the piano.

Zoe! Surrounded by Kristy, Madeline, Jake, Andrew, Sarah, Missy, Ray, Joni, David and Ben.

Jake, Kristy, Madeline, Neil, Katie. Kind of a funny picture of everybody but Katie. Lucky Katie.

For some reason, one-hour photo developed this as a panorama. I don't even have a panorama option on my camera.
But it's Neil and Ray! Neil is tying a hangman's knot and Ray has the ever-present coffee. And I believe that's
the hated big black phone on the chair in the back... How do you like Neil's golden dinkles? (It means
shoes! SHOES!!!!!)

And can you tell? Neil was here!

Another mistaken panorama. And bad flash. I need to replace my batteries or something. But I like the
composition! The panorama actually made it better... Jo, Jake, Madeline. You can see the edge of David's
telephone box to the left of Madeline's head.

To my fellow cast members--you guys are awesome! Good luck next year!
