Monday, January 20th was my birthday. It was very sunny when I got up. Then, it suddenly began snowing and snowed very hard for about half an hour. Then, it quit and was very sunny again. This did not suprise me at all. It always seems to snow on my birthday or the day before or after. There was one year it didn't--and then we had a tornado.

"The Studio, Little Holland House" by Thomas Matthews Rooke

My parents got me two movies for my birthday. They were both versions of "A Little Princess". One was this old version that I used to just LOVE, and then the tape got messed up and I couldn't watch it anymore. The other one was a newer version, and they're both great. I just watched them last night. Then I started running around pulling all these Indian dance poses. I know, I have problems. :)

I was bored the one day this week in history class (no suprises there), so I started writing down all the movies I'd seen in 2002. It was the year of the movies! Before last year I hardly saw any in the theater. Last year I saw:

Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone
The Ring
Spiderman
Sum of All Fears
Minority Report
MIB II
Swimfan
Star Wars II
Reign of Fire
LOTR The Fellowship of the Ring (twice)
LOTR The Two Towers (twice)
Bad Comany (twice)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (twice)

It's a new record for me!

Speaking of the ring, El Sr. keeps drawing these circles on the board and saying, "It's like a movie, it's ongoing" while he's explaining the past imperfect tense in Spanish class. We keep freaking out. It's the Ring! AAAAAAAH! Seven days...

I'm not sure I wanna be seventeen.
