Paul Arthur

Growing up in Kansas City, Paul spent a good deal of his impressionable years around the theatre. At the age of six, he received a magic book and set as a birthday gift. Practicing every chance he got, he worked to develop his technique and eventually put together an act that he could sell. Birthday parties filled his schedule in those early days, many times performing for those very near to his own age.

Still at a young age, he began working for other magicians and illusionists who were able to teach him the tricks of the trade. Many of these relationships still exist to this day. During these years, Paul involved himself heavily with fraternal industry organizations, such as the International Brotherhood of Magicians. He was the recipient of several performance awards from these organizations.

While working behind the scenes for some of the magic industry’s biggest stars, Paul eventually put together his own two hour illusion show, called Believe The Impossible. In his teen years, he performed the show on a fundraising basis, raising thousands of dollars for such organizations as the American Cancer Society. In the fifteen years that Paul has been performing, he has been seen by an estimated 20,000 audience members.
It was in high school that Paul began working steadily in the theatre, outside of magic. He served as technical director and stage manager for eight productions during his high school career. In college, Paul began working for the school’s department of theatre. While finishing an undergraduate degree in Theatre, he was even chosen to serve as scenic designer for the graduate program of the school, an honor given to only three others in the history of the program. While working on his degree, Paul has also been fortunate enough to work behind the scenes for numerous professional theatre companies, such as the Missouri Repertory Theatre. Paul also works for a variety of production companies whose clients range from theme parks to casinos to large corporate events.
