Jamie Storr was drafted seventh overall in the 1994 Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings. On January 24, 1995, he made his NHL debut in a 4-2 loss to the Stars. Four nights later, he earned his first victory in a 4-2 win over the Jets. After playing five games that season, he returned to the junior ranks. He then played five more NHL games in each of the next two seasons. In 1997-98, Jamie went 9-5-1 in 17 games as the Kings improved 30 points to make the playoffs for the first time in five years. He was named an All-Rookie Team goalie at year's end. In 1998-99, he went 12-12-2 in 28 games and posted four shutouts.
