In addition, John Dawson of DVARP reports the following:
"While the [Milleneum Pass] itself must be bought in advance from the posted sales outlet, SEPTA will be offering a Millenium Transfer that will be sold aboard all buses, trolleys, and trains after 5:00 pm on 31st December. It will be priced at $2 and will be good for all trips taken until 5:00 am on 1st January. It will do everything the pass will do, except it will look different. Also, ticket agents will be on duty all night at Suburban and Market East stations."

The new SEPTA schedules for Routes 92, 95, 127, 128, 129, 204, 208, and 302 feature SEPTA Breeze II #2048, while the new timetables for Routes 93, 94, 96, 97, 98, 99, 118, 124/125, 131, and 201 feature NABI #5151.
"We presently operate a fleet of 66 AM General trackless coaches. Our scheduled service requires only 46 of these vehicles for peak hour service. With a surplus of vehicles as large as exists, the mileage accumulation on each vehicle is minimal. It would be highly unlikely that we need replacements in the future."
As to whether SEPTA means immidate future (within the next 2 years) or long term (10-15 years from now) is unclear. The point is that SEPTAs AMG tracklesses will still be on the road, despite their age.
