The Crimson Spell

Gather round ye gentle folk
I'v got a tale to tell
Come with me and listen close
To a story
I call the Crimson Spell
One evening in a lonesome stride
I went walking home
Not far from Mckenny's Inn
From behind a barrel
I did spy A sky clad lass
And there is where it all begins
She called to me "Kind Sir!"
Can you lend a helping hand
It seems I'm in quite a pinch
I'v been struck by an unruly band
Of vile thieves who mischievously
Took my coin and clothes
Now I'm frightened for my life
And my shame and sadness grows
Over her I threw my coat
And smiled a bit for to ease
Everything will be all right
Just calm and walk with me
She looked into my empty eyes
And out of her sweet red lips did say
Strong and gentle man now please
Walk home with me this way
So walk did I for 3 hours long
Through hill and forest tree
Till we came upon
A vast green vine
That nearly hid
A strange little door from me
Near dark
Hungry and some ways from home
I agreed to go inside
Truly I was ill prepared
And did not believe my eyes
I fell from my fumble
To a dark , cool, and sodden floor
gazing up in amazement
Much a believer now in fairy lore
Her eyes glowed soft and tender
Filling me with love and light
Her delicate wings extended
Outlined with her glitter bright
Sparkling dew dripped from the walls
Cascading to the ground
A soft crystal melody
Seemed to embody me
While a crimson fog did surround
She held out her hand
And forces drew me near
Holding me in her arms
She uttered these words to hear
Poor, Gentle, Wise and Nobel man
I have sought you on this day
To bring to thee a gift You see
That will help you with life's way
Your Prize
Has no price or value
We have no trinkets or bobbins to spare
Stay with me a wee bit longer
I have grand blessing for to share
I'll leave with ye the best
Gift that I can surely tell
Open your weary heart to me
And you will flourish by my spell
Dear Sister Wind bring joy to he
Who drowns in deep despair
Sweet sister wave
Recede from sight
Any sorrow that is there
Cast to he
Upon whose heart
trouble has quickly fell
This wondrous day
With your love I may
Use this Crimson Spell
Overwhelmed and dizzy
I clenched my fuzzy eyes
and held my swirling head
When my lazy lids reopen
I was stairing at McKenny's Inn
I was standing besides a barrel
Ever so scantly dressed
Confused and a bit thirsty
My hair soiled and badly messed
I was feeling a little awkward
And quite ill at ease
When I heard a sweet young lass
Call over to me
"Dear Sir!" Are you all right?
Do you need help to stand?
Just then I took to notice her warm soft eyes
so I smiled and took her by the hand
My loneliness was over
Fairy Magic saved the day
For this pretty lady who stood before me
Was indeed a gift from the Fae
