Wayne County Minutes 02/22/05

Old Business:
- Minutes from 1/17/04 were read
- Voted to send 2 4 man teams to the District Tourney at the Pack
o The Teams compete individually
o Need to decide if we will send 2 teams if we can not get enough guys to man 2 4 man teams…Should not be a problem
- The Harvey’s tourney on 9/10 was changed to the Pack
- We can not get a permit for Shohola so Fairview is the backup and it was voted on that Harvey’s will be the backup for that.
- We need to get Flyers out for the kids pickerel tourney ASAP. Keith Fleckenstein wanted to take an active role in getting sponsorships
- Jackets would be continued to next meeting but it was said that Gander Mountain (Harrisburg) would give a deal on Jackets and give free shirts out to Pa Federation members. Need to get sizes and numbers together at next meeting to place 1 order as a club.
- Officer status have been changed at the state meeting.
New Business:
- Mike Solomon New member sponsored by Karl Ulmer was voted in. We need all Info!
- 5 Members need to renew there BASS membership in order to be covered by insurance. Members will be contacted.
- Members need to Added and Deleted from the roster
- District 7 Minutes were read
o Mr. Bass April 22, 23. 3 week cutoff
o Club voted no to increase T.D. fees
o Need to vote on whether the club needs to use Robert’s rule at meetings
- To fish Tournaments you need to have 300,000 liability insurance. Club needs to decide whether we need proof of this or a signed document saying that all boaters have this.
- Need to vote on whether the club should have an annual membership contract.
- Mentioned that the state has 2 million dollars to fix up state lakes. Mentioned about getting a letter together stating what lakes we think need this.
- Do we need to have the scales calibrated yearly?
- Ties are settled as below

o # of live fish
o Lunker
o Heaviest fish for first day of multiple day tourney or year
o Heaviest overall weight
- State and District TX
o Minimum of $20 rider’s fee.
o Ryder pays launch the first day boater pays the second day
o 3 week cutoff for all district and Mr. Bass Tourney. If past cutoff call TD for waiting list
- If Fishing Mr. Bass have all appropriate licenses.
- Need to vote on whether officers of the club should have to pay dues whether they fish 4 tournaments or attend 4 meetings or not.
- On 2/24/05 I Contacted the people who did not have there BASS Membership renewed. After talking to Greg Kovaleski Jr. he said that he did not want to rejoin the club even though his father paid his dues for this year.
