Ah, yes. Thanksgiving. When we get together with our families, reflect on how much we are blessed and how much we have to be thankful for... THEN EAT TILL WE EXPLODE!
This is going to be a totally awesome week. Two day week! Monday: the huge test in psych is cancelled (poor Dr. Larson! he's sick again). And I mean, really cancelled. For the test grade, he's going to average our quiz grades, which means I get an A! Going home at 3:45 for Christmas cantata practice this evening, which means that I get real food for dinner!
It feels like Friday on a Tuesday! I got to sleep in until 8--it was wonderful.
We're singing "Breath of Heaven" in choir (it sounds really great!). The Korean girls sometimes have trouble pronouncing the "th" sound, and it comes out "s", which Bernie (our director) refers to as singing "breast of heaven". Elizabeth, who sits next to me, starting saying "breast of turkey", and we ended up singing, "Breast of turkey/Fill up my stomach/I'll pour over you my gravy/For you are tasty..." Bernie seemed to find it amusing.
At the County Chorus concert, I got to see Mr. Wilson (he laughed when he saw my Wilson shirt) and Luke (who seemed shocked to see me... and had on a Gryffindor tie! Yay!) and Amy (who gave me a huge hug) and Andrew and Neil and Katey and Diane and Holly. And the ice cube lady spoke and Cookie Girl played the piano. Oh yeah, and the music was really good. :)

So then Wednesday, we went in for donut day! Carey, Erin and I did AP Eng. It was so much fun! And we had heard that the class was having some probs with organization, so we really plugged that. I miss my AP class! It was always so much fun. Then I followed Erin to AP Gov't (another class with Dee in! And you should see her senior pictures... Oh man, I wish I had got Mrs. Franzoni to do mine, too... Remind me to hire her for my wedding! lol).
Jimmy Z, Grace, Ray (check out the goatee!), Austyn, Erin, Sean and Jared (all spiffy in his uniform!)
I then followed Diane to design and caught up with my homeroom teacher, then stopped to talk to an art teacher and made us (okay, made Diane) late to Sharps. That afternoon, Laura, Erin, Carey, Sara and I all went to the Gettysburg outlets to go shopping! Sara had to leave earlier than the rest of us, and I somehow never managed to get a picture of her. We had tons of fun shopping! I found this great store with all these little decorative things, and bought a gorgeous perfume bottle and a cute little kissing ball. I got a cloche (the store called it a "crusher") at the Gap and three shirts for less than four bucks apiece at Old Navy! I'm wearing one right now. Very comfy. We kept looking at shoes and cracking each other up. We played with an electronic trash can and talked about if you and some random guy were the last two people living, would you repopulate the planet or let the race die out? So much fun stuff I can't put it all down.

Shoe shopping. Always fun. Stole a used nylon.
I'm not sure what they're talking about, but I like the composition. I think Laura's starting to say, "Suuuuure..."
Okay. So we were just a little hyper... :D I love you, Carey!
We went to a couple of confectioners' shops and got candy apples (the clerk was hilarious! She told Laura that she didn't need any more sugar in her lemonade; she was hyper enough...). Then we went to Carey's to eat them (yummy! I'd never had them before). Then we stopped off at Sara's to get some of Laura's stuff, and Sara's parents told us that Sara had gone to Neil's, so we gate-crashed the party. Katey and Neil (obviously) and Jaime and Andrew were there! Fun stuff. Then we finally went home, very tired.
Today was Thanksgiving. We went to my aunt's house and stuffed our faces. And when Grandma and I went outside for a short walk, it was spitting snow! We agreed that since this is the 25th, there will be 25 snows this year. I hope I'm around when Biva (a friend from Nepal) sees her first snow!
Yesterday was Black Friday, and I actually went shopping with my mom and Grandma (and Barb, my aunt) this year! I've got all my shopping done, now. I did basically all of it at Waldenbooks--spent more than 50 bucks, and that's with a huge sale and Mom's discount card! She and I together spent about $230. I'm not doing gifts for all my friends this year; it's too hard. I got something for Mom, Dad and Chris, Megan (my roommate), Dee, Holly and Jess. All the rest of my friends are just getting candy. Grandma always gets us clothes, so I went and picked out the shirt I want her to get me for Christmas. It has GIR in his doggy suit! I also bought myself a book of Escher graphic prints and a DVD of "The Princess Bride" and "Pocahontas". :) I know: I'm a dork. You know you love me.
Sunday afternoon, I went to Dee's and we watched Van Helsing. That is a really bad movie. But it's so much fun to make fun of! I mean, come on: they kill off the eye-candy! And the heroine! You just can't do that! :) We had fun. Always remember, never be the first to touch a viscous liquid. Dee also coined the term, "giant screen of stupidity". And then, Sunday evening was the Hanging of the Greens... But that's for another page. :) Happy Thanksgiving!
