Also: In the night’s main event, Randy Orton attempted to prove his point about Mr. McMahon’s in-ring abilities. In the midst of putting a hurting on the WWE Chairman, he was interrupted by McMahon’s son, Shane, who attacked The Legend Killer. But Orton had help of his own waiting in the wings in the form of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, who rushed to their leader’s aid, teaming up on Shane O’Mac. WWE Champion Triple H then emerged, but he too fell victim to the combined might of The Legacy. As Orton and his cohorts pummeled The Game, they were shocked to find out there was more opposition that they hadn’t counted on: The returning Batista. The Animal stormed down the entrance ramp, evening the odds by chasing Orton & DiBiase from the ring and laying out Rhodes with a Batista Bomb. As the WWE Chairman recovered, he announced that Batista would be taking his place in the Six-Man Tag Team Match at Backlash.

Also: When Shawn Michaels came to the ring, it became clear that the “funeral” announced earlier in the night was not for HBK, but rather for the undefeated WrestleMania streak of his opponent, Undertaker. Complete with a casket, roses and images of Michaels defeating The Deadman in their past encounters, the service saw HBK boast of his actions during recent weeks: Kicking Undertaker in the face and trespassing on his hollowed cemetery. The Showstopper announced that he had done all of this without enduring any retribution, and promised that the most memorable moment of the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania would be his victory over The Phenom. Just then, the arena darkened and a gong rang out, heralding the arrival of Undertaker. When the lights came back up, The Phenom stood in the ring, but Michaels was nowhere to be seen. As The Deadman searched, HBK emerged from under the casket and once again laid Undertaker out with a superkick.
And Then:Accompanied by Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase and a group of security guards, Randy Orton came to the ring for his special WrestleMania address. While describing his reprehensible actions in recent months (punting Mr. McMahon and Shane McMahon, attacking Triple H’s wife Stephanie on multiple occasions), The Legend Killer explained how every step of the way was part of a plan to destroy everything The Game cares about. He then began detailing how the balance of power in WWE would permanently shift in his favor following his WrestleMania win. But before Orton could finish outlining his twisted vision of the future, a black limo arrived. Though the third-generation Superstar expected WWE Champion Triple H to make an appearance, calling Rhodes & DiBiase to his side, he was stunned by who accompanied him. Joining The Game on the stage were Mr. McMahon and his son, Shane. The three family members made their way down the ramp, where they collided with Orton and his “Legacy,” ending Raw in a massive, heated WrestleMania-bound brawl.

WWE Champion Triple H vs. Randy Orton & Ted DiBiase ended in a no contest - Hoping to deliver some payback to WWE Champion Triple H after he decimated Cody Rhodes the week before, Randy Orton faced his WrestleMania opponent in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, with Ted DiBiase at his side. Triple H had barely entered the ring when the three men launched themselves at each other. Looking for an equalizer, The Game went under the ring apron to retrieve his signature sledgehammer, but was confronted by Rhodes, who had been lying in wait. The Legend Killer and his fellow multi-generational Superstars then attacked the WWE Champion, handcuffing him to the ropes. With The Game restrained, Orton said that there was only one person who could save Triple H and that she better come out. Against the warnings of the WWE Champion, a terrified Stephanie McMahon made her way down the entrance ramp. After climbing onto the ring apron, the Executive Vice President had second thoughts and tried to get away, but her path was blocked by Rhodes & DiBiase. Orton then grabbed her, delivering a vicious DDT from the second rope. Playing further mind games with The Cerebral Assassin, The Legend Killer leaned down and kissed the unconscious Stephanie, taunting Triple H before clobbering him with a sledgehammer.
-ALSO: SmackDown Superstar Undertaker emerged on Raw to warn his WrestleMania opponent of what’s in store for him on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The Phenom noted that while it’s true that he has never defeated HBK, the last time they faced, Michaels’ body was so broken that he spent the next five years recovering. Not one to be outdone, Shawn Michaels appeared, addressing Undertaker from a graveyard. HBK made it known that he isn’t afraid of his match with Undertaker, and won’t be intimidated. The Showstopper went on to promise that Undertaker would be the one to rest in peace.
-And Lastly:Raw was opened by none other than WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, accepting Chris Jericho’s challenge to a 3-on-1 Handicap Match at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania on behalf of “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and Ricky Steamboat. Additionally, The “Nature Boy” announced that he would be watching all of the action from the WWE Legends’ corner. ‘Naitch was then interrupted by Chris Jericho, who, continuing to kick dirt on Piper, Snuka, Steamboat and Flair himself, announced his intention to beat and humiliate the WWE Legends. The “Nature Boy” had other ideas, and began describing how he imagined the night going, but was interrupted by a vicious punch from Jericho. The first-ever Undisputed Champion proceeded to brutally beat Flair, smashing him into the steel stairs, tearing his suit off of him and even destroying the gold watch given to 'Naitch by Shawn Michaels after WrestleMania XXIV . Later in the show, fed up with the complete lack of respect Jericho has shown toward the WWE Legends, Lawler challenged the first-ever Undisputed Champion to a match on the next Raw.

Also: As announced earlier in the night, Orton’s “Legacy,” Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase prepared to team up against WWE Champion Triple H in Raw’s main event. But when The Game’s music played, the WWE Champion was nowhere to be seen. Rhodes & DiBiase demanded that they be declared the victors, since their opponent was a no-show. The two multi-generational Superstars received their wish, but their victory was interrupted by Randy Orton, making his voice heard from his home in St. Louis. The 2009 Royal Rumble winner was furious that Triple H would fail to show up for a match, and worried that he could no-show his WrestleMania title defense, preventing Orton from winning the championship. As he ranted, the doorbell began to ring, with increasing urgency. Eventually, a furious Triple H smashed his way through the door. The Game chased Orton through the house, terrifying his wife and father along the way, before throwing his WrestleMania opponent through a window. As the fight spilled over into the front yard, police officers arrived and took the WWE Champion away in handcuffs.

Also: Arriving with a full entourage including his “Legacy,” a group of lawyers and a team of security, Randy Orton took to the ring on Monday night to make a huge announcement regarding the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania. Defying the WWE Universe’s expectations, the 2009 Royal Rumble winner announced that he would not be facing WWE Champion Triple H, but would instead challenge the winner of the World Heavyweight Title Match between John Cena and Edge, scheduled for later that evening. Furthermore, the Legend Killer stated his plans to press charges against The Game for his sledgehammer assault the week prior. As if on cue, the WWE Champion himself appeared and entered the ring. Triple H taunted Orton, stating that he doesn’t have what it takes to face him and even calling the young Superstar gutless for refusing to challenge him – an act The Cerebral Assassin claims that the third-generation Superstar desperately wants to commit. Giving in to the pressure, Orton changed his mind, deciding that he would face Triple H at the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania for the WWE Title, stipulating that if the WWE Champion lays his hands on him before then, that he would move forward with the aforementioned criminal charges. After The Game agreed to these conditions, it was Orton’s turn to do the taunting as he described to Triple H how good it felt when he RKO’d his wife, Stephanie. Though The Cerebral Assassin kept his agreement not to touch Orton, he promised that when they meet, he’ll break the Legend Killer’s neck.

Also: Randy Orton, holding Triple H’s signature weapon, a sledgehammer, took to the ring, flanked by Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase. The 2009 Royal Rumble winner denied culpability for his actions against the Chairman, Shane and Stephanie McMahon, but his excuses were interrupted by The Game's entrance. The WWE Champion carried a sledgehammer with him as he made his way down to the ring, but was stopped on the apron by Orton, who suggested they both drop their weapons to settle the issue like men. Both Superstars discarded their sledgehammers, but to Orton’s surprise, living up to his moniker, The Cerebral Assassin, Triple H revealed a second sledgehammer which had been taped to his back. The Legacy members attempted to get away from the enraged WWE Champion, who managed to deal out a crushing blow to Rhodes as Orton and DiBiase ran to the locker room area. The two third-generation Superstars locked themselves in Orton’s room, which provided a few moments of protection as The Game broke the door open. Triple H managed to hit DiBiase, and barely missed Orton as the two escaped to their waiting car and made their getaway with Cody Rhodes.

The Legend Killer didn’t disappoint, immediately engaging Shane O’Mac, trading blows with Mr. McMahon’s son in a brawl that spilled out over the barriers into the audience. Shane had regained the upperhand and was preparing to hit Orton with the Coast-To-Coast when Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase rushed to the ring allowing the Legend Killer to deliver a vicious, game-ending punt, the same maneuver that incapacitated Shane O’Mac’s father. As Orton stood over his defeated foe, Stephanie McMahon rushed to the ring to tend to her brother. Raw’s General Manager’s attempts to revive Shane McMahon were interrupted by the viper-like Superstar, who struck out at Stephanie, leveling her with a vicious RKO. As Randy Orton stood over two more members of the McMahon family laid low by his actions, none other than WWE Champion Triple H rushed down the ramp, causing the Legend Killer and his “Legacy” to clear the ring.

Also: Flair returned to Raw to confront Chris Jericho after the cocky Superstar disparaged a host of WWE Legends the previous week. Not only did Jericho interrupt the “Nature Boy” as he addressed the crowd, Jericho told Flair that he missed the point of his friend Mickey Rourke’s movie The Wrestler, that Flair was an embarrassment for not staying away from wrestling after his retirement. The Nature Boy, as one might imagine, had heard enough. His annoyance manifested itself in the form of a well-thrown fist to Jericho’s face. For his part, Jericho immediately slid from the ring and nursed his jaw, glaring at the Hall of Famer as he walked away.

Accompanied by his therapist, two lawyers, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, the 2009 Royal Rumble winner made his entrance, reiterating the consequences waiting for Stephanie if she was to fire him: Two costly lawsuits being filed against WWE as well as DiBiase and Rhodes walking. The Legend Killer went even further, threatening to file an injunction to stop WrestleMania, the event at which he is guaranteed a World Title Match. After daring Stephanie McMahon to fire him, the Raw General Manager announced that they had other plans for the arrogant third-generation competitor – even beyond the Superstars that engulfed the ring. With that, Stephanie’s brother Shane McMahon made his entrance, and attacked Orton with such ferocity that it took the entire Raw roster to restrain him, with a few Superstars taking some licks for their troubles.

ALSO: Making his much anticipated return to Raw, Mr. McMahon announced to the WWE Universe that six months after his life-threatening accident, he is totally recovered and feels better than ever. After allowing Chris Jericho to speak his peace about Stephanie McMahon and the way she’s run the show, Mr. McMahon allowed his daughter to make the decision whether to rehire Jericho and place him back in the Royal Rumble. The Executive Vice President decided that she would reinstate the first-ever Undisputed Champion, but only on the condition that he apologize to her as well as the entire WWE Universe. Eating humble pie, Jericho apologized, rendering himself as hypocritical as he claims our fans are. The McMahons were then interrupted by Randy Orton, demanding an apology from Stephanie for slapping him, and continuing to treat her with extreme disrespect. The Executive Vice President attempted to slap Orton, but Mr. McMahon stopped her, insisting that he deal with the Legend Killer himself. The Chairman then demanded that Orton treat his family with respect and apologize right then and there. The third-generation Superstar refused, and when Mr. McMahon attempted to fire him, Orton responded with a slap and his vicious punt to the head, forcing the Chairman to be carried from the ring by EMTs.
