On A Distant Shore at Twilight

As Far as Her eyes could see

Searching in the Distance

For the One She loves and Needs

So Many Years Have past in Time

But with Faithfulness She Waits

And Gazes at the Horizon

Keeping the Promise that She made

The Cool, damp Winds they kissed her face

She Remembered His Gentle Touch

The waves echoing to the shore

His voice She missed So Much

The Tides Now were Ebbing

As was the hope within Her Soul

Another Night without Him

Another Night Alone

But Tomorrow She quietly whispered

Here, Again I will wait for You

Her Solitary Promise

Was All She Could Keep Anew

She stands On a Distant Shore at Twilight

Searching As Far as Her eyes could see

Reaching Out  into the Distance

For the One She loves and Needs

Yes, Tomorrow She whispers softly

And Prays It Carries on the Wind

To The One She Loves with All of Her heart

Bringing Him Home Again.
