Taken from the cannon, the 2004 photo shows the north half of 1202, with 1200 below it and the south side of 1201 to the left. A modern Naha City Cultural Museum juts into the base where the south side of 1202 was. Open to the public (Okinawa crafts), it is fenced off from the base. Access is from the highway that replaced our old Command Road on the other (East) side. The Copacobana NCO club used to be on a hill across Command Road over there. You can see that entire side of Command Road is covered up with civilian buildings.
The parking lots are all new, as are the two antennae in the foreground and the small buildings on the left below 1201. The center antennae almost hides the old checkered water tower on the hill (now outside the base). The monorail line from the airport to Naha appears just above 1201 on the left, turns a bit and disappears behind 1202 and the museum, appearing again at the far right before going off screen. Just below the monorail between 1201 and 1202. is the main gate building.
